Vat Exemption

Do I qualify for VAT exemption?

As some of our products have been designed specifically for use by persons who are chronically sick or disabled, HM Customs and Excise exempt these products from VAT so long as the product purchased is specifically for a disabled or chronically sick person.

However, zero rating won’t apply when a general purpose battery is simply supplied to a disabled person. See the relevant guidance issued by HMRC here.

The UK government requires that you complete a VAT Exemption declaration form. If you are in any doubt as to whether you are eligible to receive goods or services zero-rated for VAT you should consult HM Revenue & Customs Reduced-rate VAT on equipment and vehicles for disabled people.

Or contact HM Revenue & Customs National Advice Service on 0845 010 9000.
